Intel is expected to launch a new Core i7 processor in the fourth quarter of this year.The new processor will be the Intel Core i7 960.The Core i7 960 inherits a part of its specifications from the Core i7 965 Extreme Edition, which is now replaced by the 975 Extreme Edition.The new i7 960 will be clocked at 3.2GHz, same as the Core i7 965 Extreme Edition, have a locked multiplier capped at 24x,8MB of L3 cache, an integrated triple channel DDR3 memory controller and a TDP of 130W.Also it will use a 4.8 GT/s QPI interface.
